Fits very nicely in the MinisForum MS-A2. It’s very hefty, so there is a lot of thermal mass for the GPU to sink its heat into. Been happy with burned it in by playing games. Now using it for AI workloads and it’s keeping up very well.

I have purchased the single slot cooler to be able to fit a RTX 4000 SFF card in a Minisforums MS-01. It works very well! The installation process is well documented and easy. The card fits perfectly. I suffer no overheating at all with default voltage and fan settings when running prolonged Ollama payloads. The card uses 65W at most and the CPU is limited to 60W by default, leaving plenty of room with the default power supply. The temperature goes up to 86C in the GPU and 80C in the CPU, which is quite ok. My MS-01 is mounted in a rack adaptor inside a server cabinet that is well ventilated but nothing special otherwise. The MS-01 case gets warm but not hot at all. I'm overall very happy with the thermal behavior and can recommend the case.

I was pretty excited by the product. It is well built and we feel it was carefully designed.
I mounted it on a Lenovo P350 I bought specially the occasion, in what I have tested also the RTX 4000 SFF (that was epic) before changing the cooler. The thermal paste is an Artic MX-6.
But after testing, I have to be realistic, I'm not really satisfied by the result. I may have done something wrong, I tried everything from the website (FanCooler, Msi change of voltage).
The temperature goes easily to 85° during inference (On a llama model 3.1 8b I tested the query 'Produce a 1000 verses poem about Paradise'), and the total heatsink become extremely hot. Normal I should say, but the real problem is that the PC case became completely hot as well, so hot that I couldn't take in my hands. The fan did its job but it was not enough (>6000 rpm).
Same when testing with FurMark for about 5 minutes. I was afraid I could goes beyond, I stopped the test before.
The heat shouldn't be a problem for me for short operations but as I planned to use it on intensive tasks, I have to admit it will be not good for me. I sale back my P350 and will buy a P3 Ultra with the original heatsink. So sad :(

Hi there, thank you for your review! I'm sorry this product could not live up to your expectations. For some context: 80-85 degrees celsius are the expected temperatures with such a small cooler and are within spec of the card. Metal starts feeling too hot to touch at 50 degrees so that's not the best indication either.
I will continue to work hard to improve this cooler. Hopefully I can convince you to give it another try one day.
