Warning for Linux users

The Linux Arc drivers do not expose the fan PWM control to the OS. This means that the fan will always use the stock curve and is not modifiable. The stock curve is too slow for the fan on this cooler, resulting in overheating on sustained full load. There are a few solutions:

Use the motherboard adapter to drive the fan from your motherboard.
Minisforum MS-01 and MS-A2 users can use the MS-01/MS-A2 set to use the NVME2 fan header.
Minisforum N5 users can use the N5 adapter to use the PCIE FAN header.

Great cooler! I use this in a Minisforum MS-A2. I opted for a software patch vs. using the fan kit and it's been great so far. Running Proxmox and using the B50 to accelerate Immich and Jellyfin. Neither have the fans running for too long, but you can occasionally hear the ramp. Very acceptable noise level.

The instructions very easy to follow I use a minisforum A2 instructions for that specifically. The actual cooler copper I have not been able to complete me install yet as I need to get additional thermal pad for the GPU/ or way get a thermal paste as that would be easier for me to install. I suffer from shakes ruined the thermal pad. i just couldnt get it off the layer of plastic then i it tore then it wouldnt layer flat had lups nothing to do with the kit bad installer.... Id recommend it easy to do in practice. Instructions are amazing...

Still hotter than the original 2-slot cooler, but that was expected. But the caveat is the fan control of the ARC B50 firmware with a temp target of 92°C. So the card heats up a bit faster to these 92°C than the original cooler - and then stays there.

Please add to the instruction manual that you not only have to keep the backsides heat pads for the memory chips, but also the very small heat pads for the electrical components closer to the bracked-end of the card. Otherwise these stay uncooled.

Well, this cooler does what it is built for. Since the ARC Pro B50 is then single slot low profile it has little to no competition in the "no extra power connector" / "70W" with 16GB of VRAM niche in 2026. And is still cheaper to just buy the card and upgrade it with a fully copper cooler from here than to look for the 2 other single slot low profile (aluminium cooler) solutions from China.
